We were incorporated in 1975 to developed and implement comprehensive housing improvement plans for substantial and moderate rehabilitation, new construction, demolition and open space development.  In addition to housing, AFP has underwritten educational programs to better assist neighborhood residents in obtaining gainful employment and intellectual growth.

Mrs. Antonia Díaz, or "Missy Diaz" as she is popularly called, is a native Puerto Rican, who inate ablity to educate , inspire, and develop lead her to become a business owner, an NYC public school teacher, amd a devoted community activist.  Mrs.Diaz co-founded AFP in order to revitalization the West Bronx.  Thanks to her leadership, we continue to assist the poorest of the poor develop into productive citizens and moral agents that we hope will foster the common good and lead to the complete revitalize of the Bronx.  Mrs. Diaz's known tenacity and goodwill is difficult to replicate but has provided us with a barometer that continues to guide us.
